How To Use Wool Dryer Balls

We use wool from a local farm. Our current collection contains sheep wool, but we will soon be expanding to include fiber from other livestock. We do not use any chemicals in the processing of our dryer balls, unless otherwise stated. Ovella wool dryer balls are safe for everyone! They even make fun toys!

Eliminate chemicals from your laundry routine!

Wool dryer balls replace the need for fabric softener. They work naturally by rubbing on clothes. Wool dryer balls absorb water throughout your dry cycle, and then release the moisture when the clothes are dryer to help reduce wrinkles. They can also reduce dry time by 10-25%, so be sure to adjust your dryer settings to avoid static. When the humidity levels fall, dry times are decreasing fast! Because of this, you may experience some static. To avoid static, turn your dryer heat settings or dry time back. Over drying is causing static to form on your clothes.

They are felted, which means they will never fall apart. Every time that you use them, they felt a little more, so shrinkage is expected. They also will become denser as you use them. Please expect some stray strands of wool the first couple of uses. Use all six at once for normal to larger loads, three for smaller loads.

Coloring on the ball makes no difference performance wise. The coloring is for ascetic purposes only, and will NOT transfer to clothing.

Balls are individually handcrafted and will last at least a year!

Wool dryer ball are light, each ball weighs between .5 -1.0 oz,, so they will not add any extra noise to your dry routine. They are roughly the size of a tennis ball. Each set comes beautifully packaged and ready for gift giving. Great for Christmas and Wedding presents. They are also safe for cloth diapers.

To get the best performance from your Ovella Wool dryer balls, use three balls for small loads, use six balls for medium to large loads, and use nine balls for extra large loads.

And the best part, you can scent them with any essential oil! Make your clothes smell however your want!

When to replace:

Over time, the ball will become dense, pilly, and even dirty looking. This is normal! You can expect to get at least a year usage out of each set. Replace them when you feel they are not performing like new. Use code "20off" to save 20% on your order of $25 or more.
